Colorguard Auditions!—If you are interested in auditioning to be in colorguard next season, you will need to audition, regardless if you were a member of this year’s squad.  We will begin colorguard “camps” in March and will hold auditions before Spring Break.  Dates have not been officially set, but please be waiting for the dates to come out.

Silver Spirit Band Banquet!—This year’s band banquet will be held on April 26, 2008.  Specific times and other info will follow.

Fundraisers:

Joe Corbi’s—Joe Corbi’s went out on January 22, 2008.  If you have not seen the brochure or any info, ask your child, they should have it.  If not, there are extra forms in the band room.  See Mrs. Brown.  Silver Spirit members are required to sell $150 worth or you are required to pay a $75 fair share.  There will be prizes of $100, $75 & $50 for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place in sales.  All money and orders are to be turned in by February 14, 2008.  All orders will be delivered February 29, 2008.  This is a Friday, please make arrangements to pick it up no later than 6 PM.  These items come frozen and need to be stored accordingly when they are delivered.

Vidalia Onions—This fundraiser will go out in April.  Details will follow, but same rules apply in regards to Fair share.

These fundraisers help pay the bills for buses, trucks, flags, props, additional staff and everything else the band needs during the year.  Please do your best.  Without these fundraisers, our fees would be much higher.  Each band member signed an agreement to sell a minimum of $150 or pay a Fair Share of $75 on the three major fundraisers (fruit, Joe Corbi’s & onions).  However, we could not pay the bills without those who go beyond the call of duty and make the big sales.  Thanks to all those big sellers!

Championship Ring Orders

The rings should be in this week.  Ring must be paid in full before it can be picked up.  There will be one final order placed on March 6, 2008.  If you are interested in purchasing a ring, please see Mrs. Brown.  The cost is $150 with a $50 deposit paid when ordered.

Silver Spirit Jackets

All the jackets from the first order were delivered today.  A second order has been placed.  More jackets can be ordered if you order soon.  Please contact Debby Bouknight if you want to order a jacket.

Championship patches are in.  We have Lower State and State for $5 each.  Please see Debby Bouknight at school to purchase patches.  Middle Schoolers- please contact Mrs. Bouknight to make arrangements to get your patches.  The meeting on Feb. 12 would be a good time to purchase patches also.
